This book should not work for many reasons, yet it does, and it works well. The author stated that this book is "so wrong, it's right." The story starts off with a bang, and does not cool down. There is nothing held back here and details are not shyed away from. The author draws you in and doesn't let go.Dante is an alpha male(35 years old), but he is harsh, bold, and dominate, almost to the point of disliking him. I truly don't know if Karina is really her name or if it is b#&@h. Dante is gritty, but there are some amazingly sweet moments between the two. I ended up really loving him.
Karina, is younger (just 18) and acts her age. There are times when I slightly cringe at her navie questions/actions and times when I question if she really is old enough to be in this relationship. She molds to Dante's way of life easily, and I can sense her true feelings for Dante. She does eventually redeem herself in my eyes. Oh, and she does call Dante "daddy" but it is done with affection and doesn't come across as creepy, it works for them.
The story is like 50% steamy scenes. There is a story woven in there but you do have to wade through the detailed hot scenes. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this stoy, because of what I mentioned above. The story just should not work. I sould be upset or put off, but I am excited to see what happens next. I am unsure of paying for each individual story in this series, so I might see if there is a boxed set/collection for a better price. I rated this at four stars because there was a bit too much steamy scenes for me and I really wanted more of the action.

This was a HOT read with very interesting characters (dual POV) and a plot that sucked me in....and by a debut author, no less! I read it in one setting and then went online to figure out when next book comes out - not soon enough, it appears we have to wait months. -(
This new author, Phoenyx Slaughter, is one to keep an eye on (although I question her choice of pen name lol), and I thought the intensity between hero and heroine in this "biker" book was somewhat reminiscent of early Madeline Sheehan and Joanna Wylde books, which I still re-read on occasion.
(I also loved the age difference between MCs....the parts where he "taught" his "Baby Girl" how to please him were smokin' hot!). ;-)
I don't do reviews often since I became an author. Writing is subjective and everyone appreciates different things. However, I don't read anymore. As a writer I can't still the voices in my head long enough to concentrate on a book. Phoenyx' is the first book to do that in a long time for me. I shut down completely and lost myself in the hot heated goodness that is Dante.
I FLOVED this book. I loved it so much I immediately clicked book 2. I loved it so much I told my PA that Phoenyx is now a MUST click for me. This book had so much goodness that me, a hater of cliffhangers didn't even freaking mind!
I want more.
This is a very short read, kinda trying to lay some ground work. However I was beginning to wonder if it would contain anything but sex. It did, ended in a huge cliffhanger. I don’t mind either, the sex or the cliffhanger and it was enough to intrigue me. I’ll read book 2 and see. MC’s are my thing after all.
I downloaded Asunder because it sounded interesting, a setting I don't normally see. A big fan of Sons of Anarchy, I was curious to see how the author would venture into the MC world. I wasn't disappointed. Steamy and vulgar, but in a very good way. I was sucked into the story with the author's fluid writing style, and attention to grammar. (Nothing kills a story more for me than feeling like I need to pull out the red pen!). I was captivated by the characters, and eager for more. The only negative how abruptly the story ends. Frankly I'm a bit annoyed that I'm forced to purchase the next installment to continue.
This book was so ridiculously hot. This author just earned herself a fan for life.
Karina is a senior and high school and hooks up with Dante initially for revenge and to get her ex back. It was just supposed to be a one night stand for Dante. But that wasn't enough. Insta lust turned into more for both of them.
I can't always relate to characters as young as 18 year old Karina but she won me over. She was sweet and submissive but still had a head on her shoulders and aspirations. Dante, mmm, Dante. I loved this dirty talking, alpha male. He could be domineering and crude as hell but also sweet and protective of her.
I loved this book. I enjoyed all the supporting characters and look forward to seeing more of them as well, especially, Luck. The sex was smoking and there was a lot of it which always pleases me.
My only real wish was that it was longer. Will be greedily reading the next book.
Older biker hooks up with a 18 year old High School Senior. They enter into a Daddy Dom/Little Girl relationship. It's HOT. He's HOT. Dante makes her feel secure and safe, takes care of her like she need to be taken care of. Hemi, Karina's ex, who's in the same MC as Dante, is NOT happy about these two being together and does what he can to try and get them to part ways.
This book does end on a cliffhanger, which normally REALLY irritates me, but it was in the description so I knew what I was getting into. For the most part. I didn't think it would end where it did, and I had to read part 2 the very next day. I want to read ALL these books!!!
My first book by Phoenyx Slaughter, the first book inn the Iron Bulls MC series, but certainly not my last!! Dante and Karina are interesting characters, have great chemistry, and yes, there is a bit of an age difference. I would have liked Karina a couple of years older, but the story was still good. Yes, a cliffhanger, so you might want to purchase the first 3 books, but if your like me, you might as well get all 5 and have a binge read weekend. You won't regret it!!
